Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-02-08
This Privacy Policy explains how ChronoMe ("we") processes personal data.
1) Controller
The Service is operated by a private individual in Switzerland. See the Imprint for contact details.
2) What data we process
Depending on your use, we may process:
- account data (email, username, basic profile fields),
- content you provide (messages, audio/video, uploads),
- usage and billing data (credits, Stripe purchase references),
- safety events (for example, guardrail warnings), and
- technical logs required for security and reliability.
3) Why we process data
We process data to:
- provide the Service features you request,
- secure accounts and prevent abuse,
- run billing and customer support, and
- generate optional summaries and insights you trigger.
4) AI processing and personalization
To provide core features (including response generation, safety checks, and moderation), your content may be processed by contracted AI service providers acting on our instructions.
Where available, we configure these services so customer content is not used to train provider models.
The "Train on/off" personalization setting controls whether conversation-derived insights are used to improve your own Chrono experience (for example, profile refinement, summaries, and personalization features). This setting does not mean we train a general-purpose model on your data.
We apply data-minimization and pseudonymization practices for processing. However, content you provide may still contain personal information.
5) Processors and third parties
We use trusted processors to deliver the Service (for example, hosting, email delivery, payments, and AI providers). Data may be processed outside Switzerland or the EU depending on provider locations and legal safeguards.
6) Cookies
We aim to keep cookies minimal:
- strictly necessary cookies for login/session and security.
We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy.
7) Retention
We keep data as long as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations, unless you delete content or close your account.
8) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us via the Imprint.
9) Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures. No system is perfectly secure.
10) Children
Where child accounts are supported, a parent or guardian is responsible for creation and oversight.
11) Contact
See Imprint.
